Privacy & personal data

Last updated: 12 August 2026

This notice explains what personal data we collect when you join the MikaMou early-access list, why we collect it, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

This is a pre-launch website. Today it does one thing: it lets you join a waitlist with your email address. When the app launches, a fuller privacy policy will cover the app itself.

1. Who is responsible for your data

MikaMou is an independent project preparing for launch. Until our company is formally registered, the data controller is Ch.Parlatas, Ivis 4, 2311 Nicosia, Cyprus. You can reach us any time at info@mikamou.app.

Once our company is registered, we will update this page with its legal name and registered address.

2. What we collect

  • Your email address, when you submit it to the early-access form.
  • Basic technical data that any website receives, such as your IP address and browser type, kept in short-lived server logs for security and to keep the site running.

We do not ask for your name, and we do not use advertising or tracking cookies on this site.

3. Why we use it, and our legal basis

  • To send you launch news and beta invitations for MikaMou. Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give by joining the list and can withdraw at any time.
  • To keep the site secure and working. Legal basis: our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in running a safe website.

4. Who can see it

Your email is collected and stored by Tally, the tool that runs our early-access form (Tally is based in the European Union). Our website is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (United States), which receives basic technical data such as IP addresses in its server logs. If we send you launch or beta emails, we may do so through Proton (Switzerland). Each of these providers processes your data only on our instructions. We never sell your data or share it for anyone else's marketing.

5. Where it is stored

We aim to keep your data within the European Union or European Economic Area where possible. Netlify is based in the United States; we rely on its standard contractual clauses as an appropriate safeguard for this transfer. Proton is based in Switzerland, which the European Commission recognises as providing an adequate level of data protection, so no additional safeguard is required for that transfer.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your email until MikaMou launches and you have had the chance to become a user, or until you ask us to remove it, whichever comes first. You can unsubscribe from every email we send. If the project does not go ahead, we delete the list.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us to:

  • see the data we hold about you (access),
  • correct it if it is wrong (rectification),
  • delete it (erasure),
  • limit or object to how we use it,
  • receive it in a portable format,
  • withdraw your consent at any time.

To do any of these, email info@mikamou.app, and we will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. In Cyprus this is the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection (dataprotection.gov.cy).

8. International users

MikaMou is available to people around the world. Wherever you live, we apply the protections described in this notice to your data. If you are in the United Kingdom, you have equivalent rights under the UK GDPR. If you are in California or another region with its own privacy law, you keep the rights that law gives you. Just contact us at info@mikamou.app to exercise them.

9. Children

This site is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

10. Changes to this notice

If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
